Don’t Dance in the Fountain

My first full-time employer had a lavish black-tie optional holiday party. It was the event of the year and most employees looked forward to it for months in advance of the big day. It was a “see and be seen” event with employees from all over the country flying in to the headquarters area for the festivities.

One year, a few co-workers imbibed just a wee bit too much and ended up dancing in the fountain. Needless to say, their performance was not received well by their managers or corporate management.

As you head into holiday party season, remember these tips to help keep you in good favor with your boss and still allow you to have a great time at the company holiday party.
