Word games can help creativity

Have you ever had a case of writer’s block? Every once in a while, we all experience times when we’re not feeling as creative or focused as we need to be. One way to overcome this is to take a break and reignite your brain. Taking five or ten minutes to play a word game is sometimes all I need to get back into the flow of writing. It can be super annoying to get a song stuck in your head on a repeating loop and not know the name of the song or the artist. Freaking out about cooking Thanksgiving dinner? There’s an app for that!

Since Thanksgiving is only days away, I wanted to share a great cooking app that I’ve discovered: How to Cook Everything. It’s the companion app to a cookbook that I own. The cookbook has been my go-to source for a number of years, so I was thrilled that there’s an app. The app has several added features including search capabilities, a section on holiday menus and a section on 30-minute meals. Facebook finally releases their official iPad app, but does it live up to expectations?

The good folks at Facebook have been talking about releasing an official iPad app for months. It was actually expected to be released several months ago and I wasn’t able to find an explanation for the delay. One might assume that they were working out the bugs, but it seems that they stopped short of fixing everything before the release.
