All I can say is “wow”…crazy reasons people call out sick

I know we all struggle with getting out of bed some mornings and heading into the office, but the responses on this recent CareerBuilder survey are mind-boggling! I can’t imagine ever calling my boss and giving any of these reasons for my absence! Employee’s 12-year-old daughter stole his car and he had no other way to work. Employee didn’t want to report it to the police. Employee said bats got in her hair. Employee said a refrigerator fell on him. Facebook finally releases their official iPad app, but does it live up to expectations?

The good folks at Facebook have been talking about releasing an official iPad app for months. It was actually expected to be released several months ago and I wasn’t able to find an explanation for the delay. One might assume that they were working out the bugs, but it seems that they stopped short of fixing everything before the release.
